The fixed-detachable (high water) design has lost popularity because of problematic fabrication procedures. We have little success as laboratories producing passive fits with these large, costly precious metal castings.

Laser-assembly makes production of this type of prosthesis much easier. Titanium segments are milled to fit intimately between the titanium copings. Titanium wire is welded from coping to coping for additional acrylic retention.

Denture teeth are set in wax on the titanium sub frame. Screw access holes are created.

The wax-up is sent to the dentist for try-in.

The fixed-detachable is processed in pour acrylic. The titanium cylinders remain in pristine condition- unmarred by casting procedures.

The master cast is returned along with the finished restoration. A silicone putty matrix is included for future maintenance.
