Staff Profile

Robert Hicks CDT MICOI is the president of Hicks Dental Laboratory in Port Huron, Michigan. He graduated with an AAS in Dental Technology from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1979. He received his CDT in Complete Dentures in 1982. Mr. Hicks attended the Misch International Implant Institute in 1996 and again in 1999. He received his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 1999 and his masters in 2004.

Mr. Hicks has been a technical advisor to Port Huron Seattle Study Club since 1996. He received his laser training from Biogenic Technical Institute in 1997, joined BTI as an instructor in 2000, and became Technical Director of BTI in 2002.

 

Mr. Hicks is a laboratory consultant and has lectured to study clubs, dental societies, and nationwide on laser techniques. In July 2005, Mr. Hicks lectured for ATD Dental in Tokyo, Japan. He has developed BTI implant systems and is the co-inventor of Passive Plus, a system for divergent implants.
