Thermal distortion occurs in every stage of casting. This makes passive fit in a one-piece casting a virtual impossibility. Soldering procedures employed to correct non-passive fit require heating of the casting to accept the solder- again creating thermal distortion.

The lasers small heat-affected–zone allows us to easily control thermal expansion and contraction. Casting variables are eliminated allowing us to fabricate a better fitting implant prosthesis. We weld implant superstructures IN OUR HANDS AND DIRECTLY ON THE MASTER CAST at a greatly reduced cost.

Laser-welding procedures allow us to use precision-milled titanium parts instead of costly precious metal alloys . The result is a machined interface and a passive-fitting implant bar at a fraction of the cost.
